Since winning the Conference USA championship Saturday and gaining an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, University of Memphis coach Josh Pastner had a lot of people telling him their thoughts on who the Tigers would play, where the games would be and what seed they would receive.
Longtime Arizona coach Lute Olson, Pastner's former coach and boss, called him and said he told Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne that the NCAA Tournament selection committee should send the Tigers to Tucson, one of eight second- and third-round host sites.
His thinking was that Pastner, a former walk-on player and assistant coach at Arizona, would help sell tickets.
Olson was close, but U of M freshman Will Barton actually had it pegged best.
